For an article from an online database, use this format:

Last Name, First Name and First Name Last Name. "Title of the Article." Title of the Journal, vol. #,

no. #, date of publication,* pp. 3-3. Database Name, doi:xxx or URL** [if available].

          Accessed date.

*dates in MLA are written: day abbreviated month year. Ex. 4 Feb. 2019. May, June, and July do not get abbreviated.

**do not include URLs from within databases that require a log in to access. You can tell if it requires a log in because it will usually say "login" or "DeSales" in the link.

Complete Example

Frosch, Thomas. "Why George Has to Die: Gloria Naylor's Mama Day and the Myth of the

Goddess." Journal of Ethnic American Literature, vol. 5, 2015, pp.5-21. Accessed 3 Mar.

          2020.
