In your Discovery Search Results, click the title of the item you wish to place on hold.

To the right of the item record under “Access Options,” the item will appear as either available or unavailable (with a date when the item is due back).

Click Place Hold (if the item is checked out and you need it earlier than the due date, you can either request the item through Interlibrary Loan or contact the library and we can attempt to recall the item for you).

This will take you to the “Submit a Place Hold Request” page.

Place a check next to the item you wish to place on hold.

Click submit.

Items that are available will be pulled within 24-48 hours or the request.

Once the item has been pulled, will receive an email that the requested item has been checked out to your library account and the email will provide you with the item’s due date. You can then come to the Trexler Library’s circulation desk to pick up the hold.

Please be sure to present your DeSales ID when picking up the hold.

You will have 5 days to pick up the hold. If the item is not picked up within 5 days, the item will be pulled from our hold shelf and placed back into the library’s collection.
